About the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation

The mission of the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation is to advocate and fundraise for a full service, state-of-the-art children’s hospital in Gainesville, Florida while promoting excellence in patient safety and ensuring that all families are treated with compassion, courtesy and dignity.

Since launch, the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation has successfully advocated for major improvements in pediatric healthcare in North Florida and remarkable progress has been made toward the Foundation’s goal to transform today’s excellent pediatric care into the safest and most outstanding care provided within a dedicated, full-service children’s hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville while continuously promoting excellence in patient safety.

With the community’s support, in 2011, the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation was able to make a $500,000 donation to help complete the Pediatric E.R. at UF&Shands and a $1.5 million donation to the Shands Hospital for Children at the University of Florida.
